Kil’s Martial Arts

Master Kil's World Class Tae Kwon Do is the leading provider of martial arts instruction in the Southeast Michigan area. For over 30 years, we have been teaching the martial art of Tae Kwon Do to children, adults, and families.

The leader of our organization is Grandmaster Yong Sup Kil, one of the most successful Head Coaches of the US National Tae Kwon Do Team. Grandmaster Kil has earned international recognition for his Tae Kwon Do skills and teaching methods, and directs all his efforts to bringing the benefits of Tae Kwon Do to the Southeast Michigan community.

Students will learn to respect themselves and others, will improve their self-control, and will learn how to set goals and achieve those goals. Tae Kwon Do teaches the child about self-discipline, improving the child's focus and concentration. Physically, improve with each lesson that he/she takes. The results of Tae Kwon Do training are phenomenal. You will even see improvement in your child's school grades!.

Tae Kwon Do is an excellent activity for the entire family. Because family schedules are so busy, it is important to find activities that can be shared; activities that nurture growth, while working side by side. Tae Kwon Do offers this, and more! Families will become more health conscious as they exercise together. Parents and children will grow closer, and relationships will improve through the mandatory studies of the tenets of Tae Kwon Do, which are: Perseverance, Integrity, Courtesy, Self-Control, Indomitable Spirit, and Humility. Respect for yourself and others is the natural product of this training in self-discipline. In addition, Tae Kwon Do is also an excellent avenue to meet other families that share your similar interests. We at Kil's Tae Kwon Do believe, "A family that kicks together, sticks together."

You are never too old to embark on this exciting new adventure. Beginning adults are taught slowly. We recognize that some individuals have not exercised in quite some time, and we are careful to accommodate those "rested" muscles.

Our classes begin with warm-ups, after which new students are taught in a gradual, repetitive method. As the student goes through the belt ranking system, the classes become gradually more difficult, because the students skill level is increasing. The adult student will see many benefits from training at Kil's Tae Kwon Do Fitness Center. Some of these include endurance, flexibility and strength. Stress will be reduced and replaced with refreshingly healthy, positive attitudes. Each student's confidence will strengthen because of the self-defense skills that are learned. We at Kil's Tae Kwon Do believe that any adult, regardless of age or weight, can successfully practice Tae Kwon Do.
